The XL Series Sample Tube Processing Platform automates the processing of a wide range of sample tubes or vials to increase sample management efficiency. The XL series sample tube processing platform can easily complete the cumbersome sample tube processing by automatically picking up the tube, automatically scanning the sample tube, weighing, and automatically labeling the sample tube. At the same time, the operating software can also record key data, such as tube rack 1D barcode, sample tube 1D & 2D barcode, sample weight, sample volume, DMSO content and so on. XL can be integrated online with the LIMS laboratory information management system to enable a higher degree of automated sample information management.

Pick and rearrange modules

The XL's pick and rearrangement modules are basic standard modules. According to the user's instructions, the XL grabs the target sample tube through the robot arm into the specified tube holder. The user's instructions can be a direct click through the software, or through a CSV or txt format work form to achieve batch sample tube picking and remake work. The XL can be piped at speeds of up to 700 tubes per hour.

Bar code decoding module

All bar code data is associated with the position information of the sample tube and the tube rack 1D bar code, providing full tracking from start to finish. The 2D barcode at the bottom of the sample tube is quickly acquired by the camera technology. The 1D barcode attached to the side of the sample tube is obtained by rotating the sample tube for 360 degree scanning. The 1D barcode of the tube holder is loaded into the XL automation table when the tube holder is loaded. Scan and automatically record to the software. The bar code scanning speed is approximately 360 sample tubes per hour.

Automatic weighing module

The XL platform's automatic weighing module allows continuous weighing without manual intervention and is available in two precision modules (0.01mg and 0.1mg). The results of the weighing are automatically recorded in the software and can be exported in CSV, txt and other formats. The automatic weighing module can weigh 150 sample tubes in less than 1 hour.

Automatic labeling module

The XL's automatic labeling module is called LabelPro, and the XL robotic arm grabs the sample tube and places it in LabelPro for automatic labeling. After the labeling is completed, the tube is automatically removed by the robot arm and placed in the designated tube rack. The module can print 1D, 2D, text, numbers, pictures and other information onto the barcode according to the user's needs, and paste the barcode on the sample tube. LabelPro can automatically label 150 samples in one hour.

Liquid processing module

The added liquid handling module gives the XL platform the ability to load a single channel. Features include automatic loading and unloading of the tip, with a pipetting range of 5 to 1000 ul. The liquid handling section of the software allows the user to customize the unique liquid handling process.

Open/close cover module

The sample tube (Tube or Vial) can be opened/closed on the XL platform. When closing the lid, you can choose to continue using the original lid or the new lid. The processing speed is about 170 tubes per hour. Through software control, the opening/closing process can be integrated with other functions and continuously operated (such as weighing, liquid handling, etc.). Currently compatible 2m/4ml/6ml/8ml cryocaps and other similarly sized screw caps.

software

The operating software of the XL platform is easy to use and runs on Windows systems. Customers can integrate the LIMS system according to the ActiveX and SDK Toolkit provided by BioMicroLab. The operation of the instrument can be done directly by the user or by importing the Worklist.
