I am afraid most people are not very clear in their hearts. Recently, at the China High-end Medical Construction Development Forum held at Shanghai International Medical Park, Huang Guoying, Dean of Pediatric Hospital of Fudan University, and Jiang Zhongyi, Dean of Shanghai Children's Medical Center, respectively elaborated on high-end medical services. We can The development of special hospital services for children's hospitals is a glimpse of the leopard.
Fudan Affiliated Pediatric Hospital
The Pediatric Hospital affiliated to Fudan University is the first foreign-related children's service hospital in Shanghai. The special needs service was established in 1993. The specific developments are shown in Table 1 and Table 2.
As can be seen from the above two tables, in 2012, the annual total business income of the special needs clinics and chartered wards of the Pediatric Hospital affiliated to Fudan University reached about 41.88 million yuan. A total of 635 people were admitted to 10 beds, and the average person generated revenue of about 14,800 yuan.
According to Dean Huang, the revenue is actually conservative for the current level of hospital tolerance. If the system and mechanism are thrown away, the overall demand for services will increase. appears in:
First, the current service price is subject to the characteristics of public hospitals, which is lower than the real high-end medical services; second, the current bed has great room for improvement, and it should be possible to expand to 30 or even 100 beds; Third, the entire brand of special needs services, the operation has great potential to be tapped.
About the current special needs patients, according to President Huang, about one-third are foreigners, mainly from the referral of various foreign hospitals, medical service institutions and the recommendations of the consulates in various countries in Shanghai. Every year, the consulate's delegation visits the Pediatric Hospital; the rest of the patients are mainly from the high-income groups in the Yangtze River Delta, East China, and hospital VIP customers. To this end, the Pediatric Hospital has signed cooperation agreements with more than 20 insurance institutions.
Shanghai Children's Medical Center
Shanghai Children's Medical Center was established in 1998. In December 2000, a special medical department was set up to provide special specialist outpatient services. In September 2010, the company launched a “one-stop†comfortable medical service for specialists. In June 2011, the special ward of the special medical department was opened, which is the same as the number of beds in the Fudan affiliated pediatric hospital. At present, there are 5 doctors in the special clinic, including 3 senior titles and 17 nurses. The types of services include special clinics, specialist specialist clinics and inpatient treatments. According to Jiang Zhongyi, dean of Shanghai Children's Medical Center, in recent years, the annual reception volume of special needs service clinics of children's medical centers has increased year by year. In 2013, the number of outpatients reached 32,000 and the number of discharged patients was 614. The current space can no longer meet the needs of patients. In the future, the hospital plans to relocate the current special medical department to the newly completed medical service building in 2017. Its operating area will be 1220m. (Outpatient 570m?, ward 650m?) amplified to 4000m? (Outpatient clinic area 1000m?, 2 wards, 3000m?), set up independent registration, charging, taking medicine, laboratory and other areas, the number of beds increased to 25.
The future of special needs services
It is not difficult to see from the above two cases that the location of special needs services in large hospitals is becoming more and more important. On the other hand, according to public data, as of 2012, the compound growth rate of the company in the past 7 years has remained at 25%. In 2012, the income of the company and the family was 152 million US dollars, an increase of 33% compared with 2011. On the other hand, China's high-end medical service market is in a period of vigorous growth. Based on this, although the government and the industry have mentioned the special needs clinics that have been stripped of public hospitals, and the public hospitals have returned to the public welfare property, they all fall into their own positions. However, the current financial subsidies in public hospitals are insufficient, and they have been fighting in the market for many years. In the case of hospitals, it is difficult to abandon this piece of Tang dynasty. Even if the special needs service is removed and the stove is started, the high-end talents required for high-end medical care are still inseparable from the current large public hospitals, at least for a long time. Therefore, the recent "Several Opinions on Further Deepening the Reform of the Medical and Health System" issued by Beijing clearly allows large public hospitals to cooperate with social capital in a "franchise" manner. In fact, many hospitals have done this before. For example, on June 19 this year, Peking University Cancer Hospital and Yijia International Medical Department officially settled and the family visited the Cancer Center. Fudan Affiliated Pediatric Hospital and Vanke cooperated in Shanghai New Hongqiao to establish Fudan Wanke Children's Hospital.
In the end, the author believes that the special needs of large public hospitals may evolve into a high-end medical institution that cooperates with public hospitals and social capital in the future. Public hospitals compensate for the lack of government investment in public hospitals through income replenishment, which is why the government allows public hospitals to open special services. On the one hand, this form of cooperation satisfies the needs of social multi-level medical services, and on the other hand, it reduces the investment in medical services for the government. Why not?
