Main components
The whole plant contains a variety of triterpenoids, Taraxerol, Taraxerol, Arnidiol, and another unknown triterpenoid (C30H50O2, melting point 204-206°C. ). Still contains stigmasterol, sitosterol, flavonoids, volatile oils, organic acids, resins, tannins, coumarin and so on.
Pharmacological effects
Some volatile oils and ethanol extracts have certain antitussive, expectorant and antiasthmatic effects, and some of the precipitated cough suppressants have no obvious effect and no expectorant effect. In vitro experiments, decoction inhibition of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. All-grass extracts significantly inhibited β-hydroxy-β-methylglutaric acid (HMG) coenzyme A, calcium channel blockers and cholecystokinin.
