One, tender twigs
The operation of the shoot twig connection method is the same as the splicing method of the general flower and wood. The tool required is simple and does not require a grafting knife, as long as it is an ordinary blade. Therefore, not only beginners are easy to master, but also low in cost and easy to popularize. There are four methods for specific operations:
1. Shoot bud bud rootstock cut 1/3-1/2, split in the middle, the depth of the crack is 2-3 times of the bud diameter of the scion bud, and cut the robust bud of the scion into a wedge shape, the wedge surface length is also diameter 2-3 times, quickly cut the good bud into the bottom of the rootstock crack. The diameter of the common rootstock buds is larger than the diameter of the buds, so it is not possible to align the two sides to form a layer, as long as they are aligned on one side. Then, tie the cotton thread at the interface and coat the plastic bag.
2. Shoots The buds of the next year that are to be scioned are connected to the apical buds of the rootstock as described above.
3. About 1/3 of the buds on the top of bud grafted rootstocks are cut off, and the middle buds are opened. The strong buds of the scions are inserted into the cracks as above.
4, branch grafting The biennial branch of the scion as above method is connected to the rootstock shoots. Due to the dense pine needles of Pinus thunbergii, it is difficult to tie it if the "bud sprouting" or "graft grafting" method is used. Therefore, when the scion was inserted into the crack of the rootstock, the wound was immediately pinched with a finger, and after about 3 minutes, the wound was anastomosed. Then the pine needles of the black pine were turned upwards, the scion wrapped in the middle, and a few turns of rough cotton thread was put on the outside. Or plastic tape, then put on a transparent plastic bag, and tie the bag mouth. At this point, the grafting operation is completed. After the management is very simple, placed in outdoor ventilation and shade can be. Two months later, seeing the scion begin to germinate through the plastic bag, indicating that it has survived, the line of the bag mouth can be released first, and after another week or so, the plastic bag will be removed, and the live five-needle pine will be placed in the semi-shade place. , And gradually increase the light. When all new needles are released, they may be transferred to normal maintenance management. This method grafted five pine needles, rootstock to select the thick black pine seedlings of the year, the most ideal, grafted survival does not affect the viewing. If larger pine trees are used as root stocks, although they grow more quickly after living, they will form an obvious healing tissue at each interface, and they are all on high branches, like one sarcoma, and will be greatly reduced. Ornamental value.
Second, the buds abdominal connection
Grafting this method is very important. As a scion, the shoot length must be 1 cm or more and the diameter 0.2 cm or more. Cut the five-needle buds into a wedge shape (inward wedge surface is slightly longer than the outward wedge surface), insert the bottom of the incision of the rootstock (black pine), align the formation layer, and glue the interface firmly with black cloth. Black is good for healing wounds sooner. Therefore, it is better to bind with black plastic than plastic film, and it is easy to operate. After loosening, no loose binding is required, and black adhesive will burst.
Grafting time is appropriate from March to March. After being placed in a warm, partially shaded place, the scion does not need to be covered with a plastic bag, but it must not be exposed to strong light. Scattering light may start to shine gradually in the next month. The scion will grow in early May and the needle will be released in late May. Has grown to a certain height.
