What is a thermostat? As the name implies, a thermostat is a tank that provides a constant temperature. Generally, it can be divided into a constant temperature air (commonly referred to as an incubator) and a constant temperature liquid (commonly referred to as a constant temperature bath). Generally, it is heated by a resistance wire, and the compressor is cooled. The auxiliary is equipped with a PID controller to keep a relatively standard temperature, thereby achieving the experimental purpose.

The constant temperature bath requires precise temperature control of the temperature of the liquid in the tank (temperature control accuracy is 0.1 °C or even 0.01 °C). The most commonly used method is heating with a resistance wire and cooling of the compressor, supplemented by a PID microcomputer self-tuning precise temperature control method to stabilize the temperature of the constant temperature bath at the required set temperature.

The baths are typically equipped with a highly stable platinum resistor PRT or other temperature sensor for temperature control and automatic protection of the bath. The controller uses a special noise suppression circuit to detect the small change in resistance required for a high-stability thermostat. The internal temperature of the instrument is measured using an AC bridge to reduce the thermoelectric potential. Custom, high precision, low temperature coefficient resistors ensure short-term and long-term stability of the temperature set point.

Advanced filtering technology overcomes power supply noise interference and stray electromagnetic interference and radio interference. Proportional integral control is used to control the power supplied to the bath heater. Precision factory commissioning virtually eliminates the effects of overshoot, allowing the bath to quickly reach its maximum temperature stability after reaching the temperature set point. A key factor in the performance of the bath is our thermal port technology. It has a cooling coil and a heater sandwiched on the side of the stainless steel cylinder of the thermostat. The bottom of the cylinder becomes a heat exchange port, and most of the heat enters and exits the bath through this port. The good insulation around the cylinder minimizes heat leakage.
